Are you a dedicated safety professional looking to make a tangible impact in the construction industry? Haily Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to join our expanding team in Johor Bahru. In this role, you will be the backbone of our safety operations, ensuring that every project site meets the highest standards of safety, health, and legal compliance.
As an SHO, you will play a critical role in fostering a 'Safety First' culture across our diverse construction projects. You will work closely with site management, contractors, and stakeholders to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and ensure that our workforce returns home safely every single day. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific Safety and Health Management Plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967 regulations.
- Coordinate with site project teams to conduct Risk Assessment and Control (HIRARC) for all construction activities.
- Facilitate safety induction training, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills for all workers and subcontractors.
- Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, incident reports, and relevant statutory records.
- Investigate site accidents, near-misses, and dangerous occurrences to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Liaise with DOSH and other relevant government authorities regarding site safety compliance.
Kualifikasi
- Possess a valid Safety & Health Officer (SHO) certification from NIOSH and registered with DOSH (JKKP).
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in construction site safety management.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to influence site culture.
- Proficient in MS Office and safety reporting software.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
