Are you a dedicated Safety Professional looking to drive safety excellence in high-risk construction environments? Our client, a well-established main contractor specializing in heavy civil engineering works including structural steel erection, deep foundation piling, and complex demolition projects, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager (Construction) to lead their Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) strategy and execution across multiple active projects in the Central Region.
In this critical senior leadership role, you will be the primary custodian of safety on site. You will take full ownership of the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring all operations strictly adhere to the WSH Act and regulations set by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve spearheading risk assessments, driving a proactive safety culture through regular audits and inspections, and ensuring that every team member goes home safely at the end of the day. You will act as the key strategic advisor to Project Directors and site teams, providing expert guidance from the tendering phase right through to project handover.

Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and review Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures specifically for structural steel, piling, and demolition projects.
- Lead and facilitate risk assessments (RA), safe work procedures (SWP), and site safety audits to ensure compliance with MOM and WSH regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safety measures to proactively prevent incidents and near misses.
- Lead investigations into workplace accidents, dangerous occurrences, and occupational diseases, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Manage and coordinate WSH training programs, including safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and emergency response drills for all site personnel.
- Act as the lead liaison with regulatory bodies such as MOM and NEA during inspections and audits.
- Maintain, update, and improve the company's Safety Management System (SMS) to align with ISO 45001 standards.
- Mentor and manage a team of WSH Officers and Coordinators across various project sites.
Kualifikasi
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certified WSH Officer (WSHO) with a valid MOM registration.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety management within the Construction industry, specifically on structural steel, piling, or geotechnical projects.
- Thorough knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act, regulations, and approved codes of practice in Singapore.
- Experience managing ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence site teams positively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for incident investigation and risk management.
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (ACWSH) or Specialist Diploma in WSH (SDWSH) is highly preferred.
