In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying potential hazards, enforcing safety regulations, and implementing effective safety management systems. You will work closely with management and staff to foster a proactive safety culture, conducting regular audits, and ensuring that all operations comply with local OSH regulations. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSH Act 1994 and related regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate safety training sessions and toolbox talks for employees at all levels to enhance safety awareness and competence.
- Manage the issuance and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper usage.
- Collaborate with management to conduct internal safety audits and fire drills, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
- Monitor and report on key safety KPIs, including lost time injury frequency rates (LTIFR) and near-miss statistics.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field with a specialization in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Valid SSMB Certificate (OSHA) and a valid license to practice as a Safety Officer in Malaysia.
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in a similar role within the construction, manufacturing, or energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of OSH Act 1994, Factories and Machinery Act 1967, and Environmental laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct effective training and presentations.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and Safety Management Systems software.
- Must be a Malaysian citizen.
