AEON, a leader in the retail industry, is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Sales Assistant to join our Seafood & Meat department at AEON Cheras Selatan. As a key member of our fresh food team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have access to high-quality products while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and efficiency.
In this role, you will be the face of our fresh food section. You will interact with customers daily, providing expert advice on our meat and seafood selections while ensuring that our display counters are always fully stocked and visually appealing. Tanggung Jawab
- Ensure fresh meat and seafood displays are attractively arranged and fully stocked at all times.
- Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding product selection and preparation.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Operate weighing scales, labeling equipment, and other tools necessary for daily operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishing stock from the storage area to the sales floor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper sanitation of workstations and cold storage units.
- Execute promotional activities and price markdowns as directed by the department supervisor.
Kualifikasi
- Prior experience in a retail, grocery, or food service environment is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work in a cold environment (seafood and meat section) comfortably.
- Willingness to work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic understanding of food handling and safety procedures is an advantage.
- Able to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with retail stock management.
- Spoken proficiency in Malay and English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
