Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially-minded Sales & RFQ Engineer to join our expanding team in Senai, Johor. This pivotal role acts as the technical bridge between our clients, internal engineering departments, and global suppliers. You will be responsible for managing the Request for Quotation (RFQ) lifecycle, ensuring that technical specifications are accurately translated into competitive and profitable commercial proposals.
As a Sales & RFQ Engineer, you will dive deep into technical drawings and material requirements to provide precise cost estimations. Tanggung Jawab
- Review and analyze incoming Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages from customers to determine project feasibility and technical requirements.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for raw materials, components, and outsourced services.
- Collaborate with the internal production and engineering teams to establish accurate manufacturing costs and lead times.
- Prepare comprehensive technical proposals and formal quotations for submission to clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding technical queries, pricing clarifications, and quotation follow-ups.
- Maintain and update the costing database and RFQ tracking logs to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Support the sales team in technical presentations and negotiation phases to secure new business contracts.
Kualifikasi
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in technical sales, RFQ management, or cost estimation within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas) and ERP software is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to speak Mandarin is a plus for supplier communication.
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong sense of urgency and professional integrity.
