- Provide immediate medical attention and administer first aid for injuries and illnesses occurring on school premises.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments to students in accordance with established medical protocols and parental consent.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date health records for all students, including immunization status and medical histories.
- Develop, implement, and deliver comprehensive health education programs for students and staff on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and safety.
- Conduct regular health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing) and make appropriate referrals to external healthcare providers when necessary.
- Manage and maintain the school clinic, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary medical supplies, equipment, and that it adheres to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate effectively with school administration, teachers, and parents to address student health concerns and facilitate individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, coordinating with external emergency services when required, and communicating critical information to parents/guardians.
Kualifikasi
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Philippines.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in school health, pediatrics, or community health.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid is mandatory.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, coupled with a compassionate and empathetic approach to student care.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make critical decisions independently, especially during emergency situations.
- Thorough knowledge of local and national health regulations, immunization schedules, and public health guidelines relevant to school environments.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for efficient record-keeping, communication, and administrative tasks.
