Job Overview
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at AMACC Cavite. The School Nurse will play a pivotal role in delivering primary healthcare services, managing health records, and promoting a culture of wellness across the campus. This position is ideal for a nursing professional who enjoys working with young adults and creating a safe, supportive health environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical attention and first aid to students and staff for illnesses and injuries occurring on campus.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician instructions and school policies.
- Conduct health assessments, vision/hearing screenings, and immunization checks for new and returning students.
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records for all students and staff.
- Develop, implement, and update school health policies and emergency response plans in coordination with school administration.
- Provide health education and counseling to students, faculty, and parents on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, disease prevention, and mental health.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and healthcare providers regarding student health concerns.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Preferably with experience in school nursing, pediatric nursing, or community health nursing, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Must be empathetic, patient, and passionate about working with young people.
- Willing to be assigned in Cavite and work on a full-time basis.
