Tanggung Jawab
- Manage daily engine room operations and maintenance schedules for container vessels
- Supervise engineering teams and coordinate repair activities during port calls and voyages
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and other maritime regulations
- Monitor machinery performance and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Lead emergency response procedures for mechanical failures or safety incidents
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for voyage operations and audits
- Collaborate with shore-based technical teams for equipment upgrades and troubleshooting
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Second Engineer or similar rank
- Valid Second Engineer Class 2 Certificate of Competency (STCW Convention)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary equipment
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams
- Knowledge of container ship systems and feeder trade operations
- Excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
