SMHB Engineering is a premier engineering consultancy firm seeking a meticulous and driven Senior Accounts Executive (AR) to join our dynamic finance team in Kuala Lumpur. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and strict adherence to statutory compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate is a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a sharp eye for detail, and has a strong grasp of local tax regulations, specifically SST. You will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting the financial integrity of our engineering projects through diligent management of client accounts.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the full cycle of the Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including timely and accurate generation of invoices.
- Drive the collection process by monitoring outstanding accounts and following up with clients professionally to ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and review SST (Sales and Service Tax) computations and ensure accurate and timely statutory submissions.
- Reconcile AR sub-ledgers against the general ledger to maintain data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage debtor aging reports, providing regular updates to management regarding collection status.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities regarding AR-related queries and documentation.
- Support the finance team with month-end closing activities and relevant financial reporting.
Kualifikasi
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CA).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting functions.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian tax regulations, specifically SST compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or SQL) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain strong client relationships during collection efforts.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage priorities and work independently within a high-performing finance team.
