We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Officer with specialized logistics/freight industry experience to join our team on behalf of an Australian client. This pivotal role requires meticulous attention to detail and expertise in managing complex payment cycles within the fast-paced logistics sector. You will be responsible for optimizing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely vendor payments, and maintaining financial compliance while supporting cross-border transactions. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes for logistics/freight operations, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing
- Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records for freight-related transactions
- Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to optimize payment terms and improve cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and cross-border financial regulations
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports and variance analyses
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce processing times
- Manage relationships with freight vendors and resolve payment-related issues promptly
- Train and mentor junior accounts payable staff on industry-specific procedures
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of accounts payable experience with at least 2 years in logistics/freight industry
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of freight billing systems and international payment processing
- Expertise in vendor reconciliation, tax compliance, and financial controls
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven experience in process optimization and workflow automation
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to liaise with global stakeholders
