Horizon Construction Development, a fast-growing leader in the Malaysian construction industry, is seeking a skilled Senior Credit Control Executive to join our finance team in Masai, Johor.
This is a high-visibility position where you will take full ownership of the credit control function. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust credit policies, assessing customer financial health, and driving the collections process to ensure a healthy and predictable cash flow. Your strategic insights will directly support major project financing and corporate growth.
In this role, you will partner with Project Managers, Sales, and Legal teams to resolve disputes, mitigate risk, and optimize working capital. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proven track record in reducing DSO and bad debt. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in the construction or property development sector.

Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the full credit control lifecycle, including credit evaluation, limit setting, and monitoring for a portfolio of accounts.
- Analyse financial statements, bank references, and trade reports to assess creditworthiness and make informed recommendations.
- Drive the collections process, following up on overdue accounts, negotiating payment plans, and meeting strict DSO and cash collection targets.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports on accounts receivable aging, cash flow forecasts, and bad debt provisions for senior management.
- Collaborate with Project and Sales teams to resolve billing disputes, contract variances, and credit holds effectively.
- Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls to strengthen the credit management framework.
- Manage and mentor junior credit control staff, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.
- Prior experience in the construction, property development, or heavy manufacturing industry is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL).
- Proven track record of successfully reducing DSO and managing high-volume collections.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
