As a Senior Executive in our Legal department, you will serve as a key advisor to the business. You will manage a diverse spectrum of legal matters, including contract administration, corporate governance, litigation, and intellectual property rights. Your primary focus will be to provide strategic legal advice to management and stakeholders, ensuring all business activities are fully aligned with legal standards and best practices. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating risks, protecting the organization's interests, and fostering a legally sound operational environment. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and contribute to the department's continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university and be a qualified advocate and solicitor. With at least 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, you will exhibit strong drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Experience in the education or property development sector will be highly valued but not compulsory.

Tanggung Jawab
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Provide strategic legal advice to management on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution proceedings in collaboration with external counsels.
- Handle intellectual property matters including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Education Act, and other relevant statutory requirements.
- Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on complex legal issues.
- Support the legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring initiatives.
- Develop and maintain legal policies, procedures, and templates for the organization.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university.
- Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate and commercial law.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is a strong plus).
- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Experience in the education, property, or retail sectors will be an added advantage.
