In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the integrity of our financial records. Reporting directly to the General Ledger (GL) Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy in month-end closing procedures, and providing robust financial reporting support. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a sharp analytical mindset.
You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, assisting in audits, and driving operational efficiency within the finance department. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage end-to-end General Ledger functions, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Execute timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports for senior leadership.
- Support external and internal audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Maintain compliance with statutory accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and internal financial controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline financial data collection and reporting.
- Continuously identify process improvements to increase the efficiency of the accounting department.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting or corporate finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or SQL-based ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience in the education sector is an added advantage but not mandatory.
