Join A*STAR, Singapore's premier research agency, as a Senior Manager/Manager in Finance and play a pivotal role in driving groundbreaking scientific and technological advancements. This position is based at the Headquarters Research Development and Funding (RDF) Strategic and Enterprise Resource Centre (SERC), where you will be responsible for the financial stewardship of our research initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include managing complex research funding portfolios, developing and overseeing budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting to support the agency's strategic objectives. You will collaborate with senior scientists and project leaders to align financial resources with research priorities, ensuring optimal utilization of funds and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Manage and oversee research funding portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Develop, monitor, and control budgets for multiple research projects and programs
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
- Collaborate with research leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Optimize financial processes and implement best practices in financial management
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree is preferred
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role
- Experience in managing research funding or grants in an R&D or academic environment is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
