- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer preferences to inform assortment planning
- Manage inventory levels across multiple channels to optimize stock availability
- Collaborate with Japanese-speaking suppliers and vendors for product sourcing and negotiations
- Create compelling visual merchandising displays to enhance customer engagement
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to maintain competitive advantage
- Prepare regular performance reports and recommend data-driven improvements
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure consistent brand messaging
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of merchandising experience in retail/consumer products
- Fluent in Japanese (N1/N2 level) and English for business communication
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI platforms)
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Proven track record in inventory optimization and assortment planning
- Experience with retail merchandising software and POS systems
- Ability to work cross-functionally in matrix organizations
