Are you an expert in forestry, ecology, or carbon markets looking to make a tangible impact on the climate crisis? We are a fast-growing, dynamic carbon project developer seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead our Forest Carbon & Peatlands division. This is a rare, ground-level opportunity to define the technical standards and strategy of an innovative company positioned at the forefront of the global transition to Net Zero.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind the design, implementation, and verification of high-quality nature-based solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure our projects meet the highest international carbon standards (VCS/CCB, Gold Standard). We are looking for a forward-thinker who can navigate complex regulatory environments while mentoring a talented technical team.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the technical development and implementation of large-scale forest and peatland conservation projects in Indonesia.
- Oversee the design of methodologies for Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) to ensure project integrity.
- Manage relationships with third-party auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate successful carbon credit issuance.
- Direct ecological baseline assessments, peatland mapping, and hydrological monitoring efforts.
- Analyze complex spatial data and provide actionable technical insights to improve project performance.
- Collaborate with local communities and government partners to ensure social and environmental safeguards are met.
- Drive innovation in remote sensing and GIS applications to optimize forest carbon sequestration tracking.
Kualifikasi
- Master’s degree or higher in Forestry, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in natural resource management or carbon project development.
- Deep understanding of forest carbon standards such as Verra (VCS), CCB, or Gold Standard.
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS) and remote sensing data analysis.
- Strong track record in managing technical teams and multi-stakeholder environmental projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Indonesian.
- Proven ability to navigate the complex Indonesian regulatory landscape regarding land-use and environmental permits.
