Are you an experienced legal strategist looking for a high-impact role? CBRE is currently seeking a Sr Counsel - Global Litigation to join our Global Litigation team based in Singapore. In this pivotal position, you will provide expert legal counsel and manage litigation matters for one of the world’s leading commercial real estate services and investment management companies.
You will be responsible for overseeing the litigation process, from initial assessment and risk management to courtroom representation and settlement negotiations. This role offers the chance to work on complex, cross-border legal issues and advise senior leadership on compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the full lifecycle of complex litigation matters, including strategy, investigation, and resolution.
- Provide strategic legal advice and risk assessments to senior management and business units globally.
- Coordinate and supervise external counsel, including reviewing pleadings, motions, and settlements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes legal documents and contracts.
- Represent the company in courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies in Singapore and international jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Develop and implement litigation policies and procedures to minimize legal risks.
Kualifikasi
- Admitted to the Singapore Bar and possessing a valid practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 7+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation, with a focus on corporate or real estate matters.
- Strong academic background from a recognized law school.
- Demonstrated experience in handling cross-border disputes and international arbitration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CEDR) are a plus.
