As our Tax and Compliance Officer, you will serve as the subject matter expert for all statutory obligations, bridging the gap between local financial operations and regional compliance standards. You will be responsible for navigating the complexities of the Philippine tax landscape, including BIR filings, SEC requirements, and local government permits. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the preparation, reconciliation, and timely submission of all monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including VAT, Withholding Taxes, and Corporate Income Tax.
- Act as the primary liaison for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regarding audits, letters of authority, and routine inquiries.
- Ensure the company’s ongoing compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Local Government Unit (LGU) reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants to facilitate smooth annual statutory audits and tax health checks.
- Monitor and interpret legislative changes such as the CREATE Act and other BIR circulars to advise management on tax optimization and risk mitigation.
- Manage the maintenance of official Books of Accounts and ensure all financial documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Support the finance department in internal control reviews and the implementation of best practices for financial compliance.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience specializing in tax compliance, preferably in the energy, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
- Deep understanding of the Philippine National Internal Revenue Code and local business regulations.
- Proven track record of handling BIR audits and successfully managing government relations.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently under tight regulatory deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to both local and international stakeholders.
