Kuok Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Energy Manager to spearhead our strategic energy infrastructure initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and construction management of critical energy projects, specifically focusing on Solar PV installations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) designed to power our expanding portfolio of data centres.
As we continue to scale our digital infrastructure, you will act as the technical authority, ensuring that all energy projects are executed with the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and sustainability. You will bridge the gap between engineering design and on-site construction, coordinating with contractors, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to deliver robust, high-availability power solutions.
The ideal candidate is a visionary with a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies and data centre infrastructure. You will play a key role in reducing our carbon footprint while ensuring operational excellence across all power systems.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the project lifecycle for energy infrastructure, including Solar PV arrays and BESS, from conceptual design to commissioning.
- Manage end-to-end construction projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are strictly met.
- Coordinate with engineering teams and external contractors to ensure designs align with data centre power requirements and uptime standards.
- Oversee on-site technical inspections, ensuring compliance with local energy regulations and workplace safety standards (OSH).
- Monitor system performance post-deployment, utilizing data analytics to optimize energy output and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance during procurement processes for energy equipment and hardware.
- Manage stakeholder reporting, providing regular progress updates on project milestones and technical roadblocks.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in energy project management, with a proven track record in large-scale Solar PV or BESS projects.
- Deep technical knowledge of power systems, grid integration, and data centre energy requirements.
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or energy management (e.g., CEM) is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage complex relationships between contractors, engineers, and executive management.
- Deep understanding of Malaysian energy regulations and grid connection requirements.
