We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapy Assistant (Physiotherapy) to join the supportive team at Jurong Community Hospital (JCH). In this role, you will serve as a vital link in our rehabilitation services, ensuring that patients receive the assistance they need while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and operational efficiency.
Your primary focus will be to support the physiotherapy department by maintaining a clean and safe environment, preparing treatment areas, and assisting in daily patient care activities. You will work closely with senior physiotherapists to facilitate patient progress, demonstrating patience and professionalism at all times. Tanggung Jawab
- Maintain general cleanliness, tidiness, and strict infection control standards within the therapy area to ensure a hygienic environment for patients and staff.
- Assist physiotherapists in setting up treatment rooms, organizing equipment, and ensuring all machinery is operational before sessions.
- Support patients during rehabilitation exercises by guiding movements and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Prepare and update patient records, treatment logs, and administrative documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage the inventory of therapy supplies, ensuring that consumables and equipment are restocked as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to provide updates and emotional support.
- Assist with patient transfers and manual handling tasks as required by the physiotherapist's treatment plan.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum 'O' or 'N' Level education with a valid WSQ Certificate in Allied Health Support or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic physiotherapy principles and rehabilitation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and workplace hygiene standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting with patient mobility and manual handling.
- A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for contributing to the health and well-being of the community.
