Permata Bank is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Unit Head – Batch Data Engineering to lead our data infrastructure initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance batch data pipelines that empower our banking operations and business intelligence units.
You will lead a high-performing team of data engineers, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable insights. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable batch processing solutions.
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for large-scale enterprise data warehousing and analytics.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of batch data jobs, optimizing resource utilization and latency.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, DevOps, and Business Intelligence teams to align data engineering efforts with organizational goals.
- Establish best practices for code quality, CI/CD, version control, and documentation within the data engineering function.
- Manage technical debt and ensure compliance with strict financial data security and governance standards.
- Drive the migration and modernization of on-premises legacy data systems to cloud-native platforms.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java with deep experience in big data technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Hive.
- Strong experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Oozie, or Control-M.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related data services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- In-depth understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies, data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema), and data quality management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating technical challenges into business solutions.
- Prior experience in the Banking or FinTech industry is highly preferred.
