Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and monitor welding procedures (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR) to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure welding quality meets industry codes and safety regulations.
- Lead root-cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers to optimize welding sequences and minimize material waste.
- Provide technical guidance and training to welding teams to enhance skill sets and safety awareness.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all welding-related inspections and material testing.
- Monitor and manage welding equipment maintenance and inventory requirements.
- Ensure that all safety protocols (OSHA/local standards) are strictly adhered to on-site.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in welding engineering or quality control within the construction or oil & gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of international welding codes (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO).
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of leading teams and liaising with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Valid professional certifications in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP or AWS-CWI) are highly preferred.
